Community & Messaging Policy

Last updated 25 June 2026

LaterRole works because people treat each other well. This short policy explains what we expect, and how messaging and moderation work.

Be respectful

Treat others as you would want to be treated. We do not allow harassment, hate speech, discrimination, bullying, threats, or content that targets people for who they are.

Keep it genuine and safe

  • No spam, scams, or misleading "job offers" designed to take advantage of people.
  • No sharing of other people's private information without their consent.
  • No illegal content, and nothing that puts others at risk.
  • Be honest about who you are when contacting members directly.

Posting anonymously

You can post and comment anonymously so you can ask sensitive questions comfortably. Anonymity hides your name from other members - but every post is still linked to your account for our moderators. Anonymity is not a shield for breaking these rules.

Private messaging

  • Messages use your real name, so contact is accountable.
  • You only receive messages from people whose request you accept. You are always in control of who can reach you.
  • You can block anyone, and report a conversation if something is wrong.
  • If a conversation is reported, our moderators may review that specific conversation to keep people safe. We do not read private messages otherwise.
  • We limit how many requests and messages can be sent in a short time to prevent abuse.

If something goes wrong

Use the Report option on a post, comment or conversation, or contact us directly. We review reports and may remove content, warn, suspend, or remove accounts depending on what happened.

Our commitment

We will act fairly and with care, especially mindful that many members are newcomers building a life in a new country. If you are ever unsure or need help, reach out - we would rather hear from you.
